Beer Down Here #BeerChurch Field Trip to 504 Craft Beer Reserve

For this week’s #BeerChurch Bottleshare, we decided to have a field trip to 504 Craft Beer Reserve to share some great beers with some great friends! Check out what we had below!

New Braunfels Brewing Company — Das Lokal: American Wild Ale — 4.7% ABV 18 IBUs

This lovely beer pours a nice light amber color with notes of citrus. Tart and fruity flavors of lemon and citrus play well with the oakey and slightly tannic finish

Fonta Flora Brewery — Brine: Saison brewed w/ Smoked Oysters — 5.2% ABV ? IBUs

Cloudy straw appearance with nice lingering head. Very prominent aromas of smoked malt with a slight saltwater brininess. Taste is light bodied with strong flavors of smokey phenols and saltwater.

Salud Cerveceria — Lupolo Jugo: New England IPA — 7.3% ABV ? IBUs

Typical to NEIPAs, this juicy brew pours cloudy orange with slight amber hues. Beautiful aromas of tropical fruit on the front with a slight piney bitterness on the back end. Light bodied with flavors of pineapple and tropical fruit with a strong hop flavor!

Allagash Brewing Company — James Bean: Belgian-style Tripel w/ Coffee Aged in Bourbon Barrels — 11% ABV ? IBUs

Pours a pretty light golden color, which was lighter than I expected due to the coffee additions and barrel aging, but all of those flavors are definitely there! Aromas of roast coffee are dominate followed by sweet caramel sauce, finishing off with faint notes of Bourbon and oak. Flavors of semi-sweet chocolate and caramel with a sweet coffee and cocoa finish!

Deep Ellum Brewing Company — Freak Flag: Flanders-style Red Ale: 7.8% ABV 14 IBUs

This beer pours a beautiful amber with a nice reddish tint with aromas of dark fruit and sour cherries. Taste is very tart but not overpowering with flavors of mixed berries, dark fruit, and sour cherries and a dry finish!

Great Divide Brewing Company — Strawberry Rhubarb: Sour Ale — 6.4% ABV 12 IBUs

Appearance is peach in color with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly acidic with notes of sweet berries and earthy undertones. This beer is light and crisp, nicely tart with sweetness from the strawberries and a nice rhubarb bite!

Westbrook Brewing Co. — Rhubarb Remix: Berliner Weisse w/ Strawberries and Rhubarb — 4% ABV ? IBUs

Pours cloudy with a bright golden color and orangey hues. Aroma of those old school strawberry candies you used to eat as a kid.. you know, the ones that were in the the wrappers that looked like little strawberries… yeah, those! Taste of earthy rhubarb and in the front with flavors of sour melon and berries towards the end.

New Braunfels Brewing Company — Bier No 217: American Wild Ale — 6.217 ABV 18 IBUs

Nice reddish/brown color with thin white head. Aromas of malt, oak, and fruit and pleasant funk and heavy flavors of juniper with a nice oakey finish.
