The Brewer’s Association announced today that they are starting a crowdfunding campaign to raise $213 billion to buy out AB InBev. As outrageous as it sounds, the BA doesn’t really think that they could get an average of $28 from every man, woman, and child in the entire World, but is using this as a platform to raise awareness and support for independent craft brewers. The campaign, which can be seen on their website https://www.takecraftback.com/ doesn’t even asking for credit card info, but only a “pledge” of $10, $50, $100, or $1000 of which they then give the pledger their choice of a sticker, hat, shirt, or koozie. Hopefully this outlandish and humorous stunt can promote independent craft breweries and to help them to compete with the giants!
